Established 1958. Jones Cleveland Mitchell (J.C. Mitchell) was born on July 28, 1890. He was a real estate developer and the mayor and city commissioner of Boca Raton, Florida. He moved to Boca Raton in 1922, where he founded the Boca Raton Community Church, the First Bank of Boca Raton, the local chapters of the American Legion, and the Lions Club.
